IEA: Southeast Asia must nearly quadruple grid investment by 2050
The International Energy Agency warns that Southeast Asian nations must significantly expand transmission infrastructure to accommodate rapid renewable energy growth. Grid investment is projected to rise from $13 billion to $50 billion by 2050, with network length needing to more than double to prevent distribution bottlenecks.
